Al Bredenberg, President and Senior Associate, has worked in the Internet marketing industry since its earliest days in 1994. He helped pioneer many of the online marketing concepts and methods that are now standard in the industry. He has held positions in Internet marketing and content development for various startups, including eMarketing Messages, Tailwind.com, EdGate.com, and Enterprise Interactive.
Previous to his Internet work, Mr. Bredenberg worked in management and in direct marketing. In his various capacities, he has worked on projects for organizations such as Bank One, McGraw-Hill, the Smithsonian Institution, Siemens, Hypo Bank, Olivetti, Kenwood, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the Great Books Foundation. He has done Internet work for numerous technology and Internet companies, including DCI, 1Travel.com, mySimon.com, Top Hosts, Traveling Software, MyPoints.com, Brooklyn North Software Works, The Client Server Factory, and others.
Mr. Bredenberg holds a master's degree in management from Antioch Graduate School. He is author of the Profitable eMarketing, soon to be released by Prentice Hall. He is also author of the Smart Business Guide to Internet Marketing, an electronic book first released in 1995, later published by Nikkei BP.
John DeChello, Senior Associate, has been involved with the Internet since 1994, working on early Web projects for entertainment projects in the music, publishing, and television industries. In 1996 he established John DeChello Internet Consulting and helped clients such as former New York mayor Ed Koch, Academy Award winning composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, and platinum-selling gospel artist Kirk Franklin. Moving away from development projects, John began to focus solely on strategy and marketing, two crucial components of online success.
Since then John has split his work between the entertainment and corporate worlds, emphasizing results-oriented strategies and common-sense approaches to utilizing the Internet for marketing and promotion.
John's previous experience included a ten-year stint as a buyer for a music retail chain, and as marketing director for a licensed merchandise company. John provides Broad Mountain clients with strategic guidance for online initiatives, and management and execution of development and marketing efforts.
Suman Bolar, Senior Associate, is a writer and editor with over a decade's professional experience. She began her career as an advertising copywriter with a DDB Needham affiliate in Bangalore, India. Four years and several awards later, she pointed her writing talents and her mouse towards the then-nascent medium of the World Wide Web.
After she moved to the U.S., Suman completed a course in information architecture from the HTML Writers' Guild. Together with her husband Sudhir, she established Words Worth LLC -- a company providing customized Web site content to businesses and corporations.
During the course of her career, Suman has crafted publicity and advertising materials for a diverse range of products and brands, including GE Silicones, Walls Ice Cream, and Van Heusen. In addition, she has provided Web site content to dot-com leaders such as research company GartnerGroup, education pioneers SCORE and Edgate.com, and DCI, a promoter of hi-tech education and trade shows.
